Well? Nick asked.

      She is paralyzed from the waist down, well, below her hips, shell need to be in a wheelchair, Dr. Thomas said.

      Is this temporary or permanent? Brian asked.

      She has swelling along her spinal cord, if it goes down, its only temporary paralysis, but if the swelling stays, its permanent, Dr. Thomas said.  He left the room. Nick looked at Brizee. He sat down on the bed. She looked at him.

      Hey, itll be okay, baby, I wont leave you, well get through this together, Nick said holding her hand.

      Just go, I dont want to be a priority, Brizee said.

      Briz, dont do this again, you arent a priority, you are Nicks wife, you two are together, for richer for poorer, for sickness and in health, til death do you part, okay, you are stuck with him, just think, he can carry you around and he can be your slave, Brian said.

      Can I talk to Brian alone, Brizee said. Nick looked at her and went out with everyone else. Nick leaned against the wall.

      Nick, shes just upset, okay, she loves you, Kevin said. Nick looked at him.

      I love her so much, Kev, I cant lose her, shes pushing me away, Nick said. Theresa hugged Nick.

Brian looked at Brizee and sat down on the bed.

      You are being stubborn, Nicks crazy about you, this is temporary, Briz, Brian said.

      It could be permanent, Brian, Brizee said.

      So what, Nicks never leaving you, okay, he doesnt care if you are paralyzed or not, as long as you are alive, thats all that matters, he loves you so much, okay, he cant live without you, dont push him away because of this, Briz, you need him, he needs you, hes not leaving you, and think of Jason, Briz, he needs you, too, you, Nick, and Jason are a family, dont break that up because of this, Brian said.

      Im scared, B, Brizee said.

      Sis, theres nothing to be scared of, hes not leaving you, ever, Brian said hugging her.

      I want Nick in here, Brizee said. Brian went out and got Nick. He came in. Brian closed the door and looked at everyone. He sat down.

Nick stood there looking at her. He went over to her.

      Nicky, Im sorry, I dont know what I was thinking, Brizee said. Nick sat down and cupped her face in his hands and softly kissed her lips.

      I love you so much, I cant imagine my life without you, I dont ever want to lose you, and Im never leaving you, Nick said.

      I know, Brizee said.

      But there is one thing that I want to do, but I want to do this first to see if you can feel it, Nick said.

      And what is that, Brizee said. Nick slid his hand down and lifted her hospital gown and slipped his hand under her panties and slipped two fingers inside her.

      Nicky, I can feel that, definitely, Brizee said.

      Okay, when you get out of here, Im making love to you, Nick said. Brizee smiled.

      Good, but I hope you dont mind a part of me not moving, Brizee said.

      Ill help you, okay, in any way possible, Nick said kissing her neck. He laid down beside her.

      I know you will, I love you so much, baby, Brizee said. Nick kissed her softly.

      I love you, too, Nick said.

Three days later, Brizee was released from the hospital and Nick took her home. He carried her up to the bedroom and gently laid her down on the bed.

      Rest, baby, Ill be right downstairs if you need anything, Nick said kissing her forehead.

      Okay, I love you, Brizee said.
