Nick sat there when Jane patted his leg. He looked up and saw Dr. Kelly. He got up and went over to her.

      Dr. Kelly, whats the news, Nick said.

      Something went wrong with the surgery, Dr. Kelly said.

      What happened, Nick said. Jane came up behind him and put her hands on his shoulders.

      Dr. Kelly, Jane said.

      Brizee went into cardiac arrest during the surgery, Dr. Kelly said.

      Oh god, Theresa said.

      Dr. Kelly? Nick asked.

      Nick, Im sorry, we couldnt save her or the baby, we tried, Im sorry, Brizee and your baby are gone, Dr. Kelly said. Theresa cried out and Kevin held her and they cried.

      NO! Nick cried. He hugged his mother and buried his face in her neck and cried. Bob hugged them. Brittany hugged Brian as he cried. Howie and AJ watched as Nick broke down. They both have lost a best friend. AJ leaned against the wall and stared at the floor.

      AJ, Howie said.

      She was my best friend, D, she believed in me, she forgave me for hurting her, she helped me get better, and now shes gone, AJ said.

      I know, man, there was no one like her, she was Nicks life and now shes gone, and his baby, how can he live without her, Howie said.

Three hours later, Nick left the hospital with his parents. The press was there asking questions. Bob and Jane pushed through the reporters and Billy and Eddie helped Nick get to his parents car. Jane and Bob got in and they went home. They helped Nick inside. BJ, Leslie, Aaron and Angel came downstairs.  Nick went upstairs to the room he used to share with Aaron and laid down on his bed. BJ, Leslie, Angel, and Aaron came to the door and watched their big brother mourn his loss. They went downstairs.

      Mom, what now, Aaron said.

      We have to be there for him, Jane said.

      She was like a sister to us, how do we deal with this, BJ said.

      I dont know, sweetie, we have to stick together and be there for Nick, Brizee was special to all of us, no one can replace her, Jane said. They all hugged.  Aaron went upstairs and walked into the bedroom and saw Nick lying there.

      Nick, Aaron said.

      I want to be alone, Nick said crying.

      Ill be over here, Aaron said. He sat on his bed and got out a book.

      Aaron, please, I mean, in the bedroom alone, Nick said.

      This is my room, too, Aaron said.

      GET OUT! Nick yelled. Aaron ran out the room. Nick cried. Jane came in.

      Nick, why did you yell at your brother, Jane said.

      I want to be alone, Mom, Nick said.

      Honey, we know how you feel, but you need us, we are your family, Jane said. Nick sat up.

      You have no idea how I feel right now, the woman I loved most in the world is dead, and so is my baby! You have no idea what Im going through right now! She was my life, Mom, my reason for living and shes gone! Nick yelled. He went downstairs.

      Nick, stop, Jane said.

      I cant stay here! Nick said. He walked out the door.

      Nick, wait! Bob said. Nick got into his moms car and drove off. He went home and walked in. He looked around and went into the living room. He sat down and picked up a picture of him and Brizee and gazed at it.

      Nick, he heard someone whisper.  He looked up and saw Brizee dressed in white.

      Brizee, Nick said.

      Im an angel, Nick, I came back to help you let me go, Brizee said.

      I cant, you were my life, Brizee, I cant let you go, Nick said.

      You need to move on with your life, you have so much to live for, your fans, your family, the guys, you cant stay like this, Brizee said.

      My life means nothing without you, why did you have to die! Nick said.

      Nick, it was my time to go, you have to move on, dont kill yourself, you are needed here, Brizee said.

      I want to be with you, Nick said.

      You wont be if you kill yourself, Brizee said.

      I love you so much, Nick said.

      I know you do, Ill be here, in your heart, Nicky, I have to go, dont do anything stupid and dont kill yourself, all your fans love you, your family, the guys, they all love you, Brizee said. She faded away. Brian and Kevin came in.

      Hey, Brian said.

      How can I do it, Nick said.

      Do what? Kevin said sitting down beside him.

      Go on, without her, Nick said.

      One day at a time, shell always be with us, in our hearts, we all feel the same way you do, Nick, I lost my cousin, Brian lost his sister, we know how you felt about her and we feel the loss, too, Kevin said.

      Brian, Im sorry, I couldnt protect her, Nick said.

      Its not your fault, Frack, you loved her so much, it was an accident, you werent driving the car, you werent there when it crashed, Brian said.

      But you lost your sister, Nick said.

      I know I did, and it hurts deeply, but I have to think about what she would want me to do, go on with my life, which is the same thing you should do, you know her, man, what would she want you to do, Brian said.

      Shell want me to move on with my life, and let her go, Nick said.
