Three weeks later, Nick was home. Brian helped him in and saw Brizee laying on the couch.

      Hey Briz, look whos here, Brian said.

      Hey, there he is, Brizee said smiling.

      Hey, girl, come here, Nick said.

      I am so comfortable, I dont want to get up, Brizee said. Nick looked at Brian.

      All right, Nick said.

      Come on, man, Brian said. They went upstairs and Nick laid down. Brizee slowly walked into the room.

      Hey, I thought you didnt want to get up, Nick said.

      Well, I changed my mind, Im going home with Brian, Aaron and BJ are coming here to stay with you, bye! Brizee said. Brian and Brizee went downstairs.

      I cant take it anymore, B, pretending like Im happy when Im not, Brizee said leaning against him.

      Sis, Nick will be confused if you dont, you are doing good so far around him, Brian said. They went to his house. Brian carried her inside and up to her bedroom.

      Rest, sis, okay, me and Britt will be right downstairs, Brian said. He left the room. The phone rang. She heard Brian pick it up.

      Briz, phone! Brian said. Brizee picked it up.

      Hello, Brizee said.

      Hey, Nick said.

      Hey Nicky, you ok? Brizee asked.

      I want you here with me, I need my best friend, Nick said. Brizee closed her eyes as tears fell down her face.

      Nick, wheres BJ and Aaron, are they there? Brizee asked.

      Yeah, but I need you, too, Nick said.

      Nick, spend time with Beej and AC, okay, you see me more than them, spend time with them, Im tired, bye, Brizee said. She hung up and laid there and cried softly. Brian came in.

      Sis, Brian said.

      I wish he would remember, it would be easier, Brizee said crying.

      Briz, I know, Brian said. Brizee started crying and Brian sat down and held her.

Three days later, Brizee went over to Nicks house and went in and saw BJ and Aaron.

      Briz, hey, Aaron said gently hugging her.

      Hey, Brizee said.

      Hes upstairs in bed, BJ said. Brizee slowly went upstairs and went into the bedroom and saw Nick playing video games.

      Hi, Brizee said.

      Hey, Nick said.

      How ya doing, Brizee said.

      Wheres the baby, Nick said.

      What baby, Brizee said.

      Our baby, Briz, you dont look pregnant anymore, Nick said. Brizee looked at him and looked out the window.

      Briz, BJ told me I had amnesia and I only remember being twenty-one, but my memory is back, Aaron and BJ tested me, the last thing I remember that was present was the drunk driver hitting Brians car, Nick said. Brizee started to cry.

      Baby, whats wrong, Nick said.

      I lost the baby, Nick! Brizee cried.

      When, Nick said.

      The same day the car hit  Brians car, it was after you were out of surgery and in your ICU room, I started having pains and Dr. Thomas and Dr. Kelly couldnt find a heartbeat, Brizee said. She lifted her shirt and Nick saw the stitches.

      They had to remove the baby? Nick asked.

      Yeah, then you kept asking for me, and Brian and Kevin couldnt tell you, so with help from Dr. Kelly, I pretended to be fine to come see you so you would get some rest, because knowing you, you wouldnt rest until you saw me, Brizee said. Nick pulled her close.

      Oh baby, Nick said as he rested his head on top of hers. They sat like that for awhile.

      Was there a memorial service for our baby? Nick asked.

      Yeah, I didnt tell you because of your amnesia, I didnt want you to be confused, Brizee said crying.

      Shhh, when Im better, you can take me there, where is the baby buried, Nick said.

      At Rock Hill Cemetery, by a beautiful tree, its so beautiful, where shes at, Brizee said.

      A girl, Nick said.

      I named her Hayley Jane Carter, Brizee said.

      Thank you, Nick said.

      For what, Brizee said crying.

      Naming her after my mom, Nick said.

      Shes like a mother to me, Brizee said.

      Was she there with you that night, Nick said.

      Yeah, your parents were with me, Brizee said.

      I wish I stayed home, if I wasnt in that accident, I would have been there for you, Nick said.

      Nick, you didnt know, Brizee said. Nick hugged her close and he swore that he was never going to let her go.

Brizee woke up and looked around. She looked at her stomach and saw that she was still pregnant. She let out a sigh of relief. Nick came in.

      Hey baby, have a nice nap? Nick asked.

      No, I had a bad dream, Brizee said.

      Whats up, baby, Nick said. Brizee told him everything. Nick sat down beside her and held her close.

      It was just a dream, baby, our baby is fine, Nick said softly rubbing her stomach.

      I wanna make sure, Nicky, Brizee said. They went to the hospital and Dr. Kelly did an ultrasound.

      Brizee, your baby is fine, hear the heartbeat, Dr. Kelly said. Brizee and Nick looked at the screen and smiled as they saw the baby. They heard the heartbeat.

      You want to know the sex of the baby? Dr. Kelly asked. Nick looked at Brizee.

      Yes, Brizee said.

      Its a boy, Dr. Kelly said. Nick smiled.

      A boy, Nick said grinning.

      Just what I needed, another Nick, Brizee said.

      Hey! Nick said.  Brizee giggled.

      Im just kidding! Brizee said.

      Brizee, you have nothing to worry about, the baby is healthy and growing and you are healthy and doing great, you are resting and thats what is needed, Dr. Kelly said.

      Thanks, Dr. Kelly, Brizee said. Nick and Brizee went home. Nick laid down on the couch and Brizee laid down with him. Nick wrapped his arms around her to keep her from falling off the couch.

      I love you so much, baby, Nick said nuzzling Brizees neck.

      I love you, too, Brizee said stroking his hand on her stomach.

      Our son, Briz, our son is in here, Nick said.

      I know, Brizee said. Nick started kissing her neck.

      You dont know how happy I am right now, Nick said between kisses.

      I never want to lose you, Nicky, Brizee said.
