Two days later, Brizee was released from the hospital. The police arrested Adam and put him in jail. Nick took Brizee home. He brought her in and carried her up to his room. He laid her down on his bed.

      Rest, okay, Nick said.

      Wheres Willa, Brizee said.

      At her place, she isnt living here, Nick said.

      Oh but she will come over, Brizee said.

      No, she broke up with me, Nick said.

      Oh, why, Brizee said.

      Because of what everyone said, no one likes her, Nick said.

      Oh, Brizee said.

      You rest, okay, Ill be downstairs if you need anything, Nick said. He kissed her forehead.  
      Nicky, Brizee said.

      Yeah, Nick said.

      Thanks, Brizee said.

      Anything for you, Nick said. He went downstairs. Brizee laid there thinking of everything.

The next day, Nick walked into the bedroom and saw Brizee staring out the window.

      Briz, Nick said. She looked at him with tears in her eyes.

      I still cant believe it, Brizee said softly.

      What, Nick said sitting beside her.

      I had a little life growing inside me and its gone, Brizee said softly.

      I know, Briz, it was a part of me, too, Nick said.

      How do you feel? Brizee said.

      Im just as upset as you are, a part of me died, I helped you create it, and its gone, Nick said.

      I hope you dont blame me, I mean, I went out with Adam and you didnt want me to, Brizee said.

      Briz, sweetie, you arent the blame for it, you thought you wanted him, but he turned out to be a jerk, Nick said. Brizee leaned against him.

      I should have been with you, Brizee said.

      What, Nick said.

      Nothing, Brizee said.

      Briz, tell me, Nick said.

      He was like that because of my feelings for you, Brizee said.

      You have feelings for me? Nick asked.

      Yes, every day they get deeper and deeper, Brizee said. Nick wrapped his arms around her.

      I have feelings for you, too, Nick said.

      You do? Brizee asked. Nick lifted her face and looked in her eyes.

      Im in love with you, Nick said. He kissed her lips softly.
