The next day, Nick, Brizee, and Brian went to Jane and Bobs.  Nick got out of the car. Aaron, BJ, Leslie, and Angel came running out of the house.

      Nick! they said.

      Hey! Nick said hugging them. Brizee and Brian got out. Jane and Bob came out.

      Brizee, honey, how are you, Jane said hugging her. Brizee hugged back.

      Im just great, Brizee said. Jane grabbed her left hand and looked at the ring.

      Nickolas Gene Carter, Jane said.

      What, Nick said.

      This is a little ring, couldnt you get a better one, Jane said.

      Jane, its beautiful, Brizee said. Jane winked at her. Nick came over.

      Mom, I saw it and I had to get it, Nick said.

      Couldnt you get a bigger one, Jane said.

      Mom, this one cost me a hundred bucks, Nick said.

      A hundred dollars, for this little thing, Jane said.

      Yeah, Mom, Nick said.

      Jane, stop, I love it, okay, I dont care how big it is, or how small it is, Brizee said smiling at Nick.

      Okay, okay, okay, Jane said.  Jane hugged Brian and they all went inside.  BJ, Leslie, Angel, and Aaron went out back. Jane, Bob, Brian, Brizee, and Nick sat down in the living room. Nick sat down with Brizee beside him and held his hand.

      So, tell us the whole story, Jane said.

      Well, when I was five years old, my mom has Brizee, well, then afterwards, my dad had an affair with Laura and then he got back with my mom and Laura threatened to tell my mom everything, she would only keep quiet if she could have Brizee, so my dad gave in, and then when we all were on tour, Laura came and told Brizee and everything spilled out, Brian said.

      I see, Jane said.

      Thats the story, Brian said.

      I knew something was right with Laura, I could see that you two didnt look alike at all, I should have known you two werent related, Bob said.

      Well, she is out of my life, Im back with my real family and I am truly happy right now, Brizee said wrapping her arms around Nick.

      We are so happy for you two, Jane said.

      Thanks, Mom, Nick said.

      Thanks, Jane, Brizee said.

      Okay, Im not sure about this, Jane said.

      About what, Mom, Nick said.

      Brizee, if you are going to marry my son, you have to do one thing for me, Jane said.

      Whats that, Brizee said.

      You start calling me Mom, okay, Jane said.

      Okay, Mom, Brizee said.

      Thats better, Jane said smiling.

      And you call me Dad, Bob said.

      Okay, Dad, Brizee said.

      Oh boy, Brian said.

      What, Jane said.

      My parents just got used to her calling them Mom and Dad, Brian said.

      So, she can call us Mom and Dad when they arent around, but when they are, you can call us Jane and Bob when they are, Jane said.

      That will work, Brizee said. Brian nodded. Nicks cell phone rang. Brians cell phone rang.

      Hello, Nick said.

      Nick, its AJ, band meeting, Kevins house, now, AJ said. Brian hung up.

      Okay, Nick said. He hung up. They stood up.

      Brian and I gotta go to Kevins house, band meeting, it sounded important, Nick said.

      Okay, Brizee said standing up.

      Briz, stay here, Brian said.

      But I have no way home, Brizee said.

      Ill take you home, honey, I want to talk to you about the wedding, Jane said.

      Okay, Brizee said. Nick kissed Brizees forehead.

      Love you, Nick said.

      Love you, too, Brizee said. Brian hugged Brizee.

      Talk to you later, sis, Brian said.

      Bye bro, Brizee said. Brian and Nick left.  Brizee sat down.

      Briz, you okay, Jane said.

      I love him so much, I cant imagine my life without him, Brizee said looking at her hands.

      Briz, whats wrong, Jane said.

      I have to leave him, Brizee said.

      What, Jane said.

      I cant do this, I thought I could, but I cant, hes a Backstreet Boy, hes suppose to be single and loving it, he has girls throwing themselves at him, how can I compete with that, Brizee said crying.

      Brizee, he loves you more than anything in the world, I have never seen him like this, he is so in love with you, Jane said.

      I have to do this, Jane, Brizee said.

      Briz, dont do this, you love him, you need him, Jane said.

      I have to, Jane, Im sorry, but I have to do this, Brizee said. She got up and waved bye and left. She walked down the street. She heard a car horn. She turned and saw Harold JR. She got in the car.

      Hey sis, I was heading to the airport, Harold JR said.

      Good, Im going with you, Brizee said.

      What, why, sis, wheres Nick, Harold JR said.

      At Kevins, lets go to the airport, Brizee said.

      Sis, whats going on, Harold JR said.

      Ill tell you later, go! Brizee said. He drove to the airport and they got on the plane to Kentucky. They sat down. Brizee stared out the window.

      Okay, sis, spill, whats going on, Harold JR said.

      Nick and I got engaged, Brizee said.

      I know, Brian told me, I was going to tell Mom and Dad when I got home, Harold JR said.

      I cant do it, bro, I cant, I thought I could, but I would be taking him away from everyone, all his fans, Brizee said.

      Briz, he loves you, he is crazy about you, Harold JR said.

      I know, I just cant do it, bro, Brizee said.

Meanwhile

Nick arrived home. He searched the house and came downstairs and called his parents.

      Hello, Jane said.

      Mom, its Nick, wheres Brizee? Nick said.

      Honey, I dont know, she left here, I saw a car stop by her and picked her up, it looked like a rental car, I saw it go by, it was Harold JR, I think shes with him somewhere, Jane said.

      He was at Kevins, and he was going back to Kentucky, Nick said.

      She might be with him, Nick, she said something about leaving you, Jane said.

      What, Nick said.

      Honey, she said she cant compete with the fans, and she had to leave you, Jane said.

      Im going to Kentucky, Nick said.

      You want me to go with you? Jane asked.

      I got to do this on my own, Nick said.

      Bye honey, Jane said. Nick hung up and ran out  and went to the airport and got on the next flight to Kentucky.
