Three days later, Nick arrived home and found the house quiet.

      Briz, baby, Im home, Nick called. He got no answer.  He went upstairs and found her in the bedroom, sitting by the window, crying.

      Briz, Nick said.  He went and knelt down beside her. She looked at him.

      I hate hormones, Brizee said.

      You okay? Nick asked.

      I missed you, Brizee said.

      I missed you, too, Nick said.  He hugged her.

      Nick, I need to ask you something, Brizee said.

      Okay, Nick said.

      Will you marry me? Brizee asked.

      Yes, because I got something for you, Nick said. He pulled out a ring box and handed it to her. She opened it and saw the most beautiful ring.

      Oh Nick, Brizee said staring at it.

      I was going to ask you tonight, but you beat me to it, Nick said pulling the ring out and slipping it on her finger. He kissed her hand and kissed her lips softly.

      I love you, so much, Brizee said.

      I love you, too, future Mrs. Carter, Nick said.

      Make love to me, Nicky, please, Brizee said softly. He took her into his arms and moved her over to the bed. He gently pulled her clothes off.  His followed and with her on top, they made love. Afterwards, they laid there holding each other. Nick put his hand on her stomach and smiled.

      Our baby, Briz, a little part of you and me, we created a life, our love created this little one, Nick said.  Brizee started to cry.

      Oh sweetie, Im sorry, Nick said holding her close.

      I cry easily, Ill be fine, Brizee said. The phone rang.  Brizee reached over.

      Hello, Brizee said.

      I need you, Kevin said.

      Okay, where? Brizee asked as Nick started kissing her fingers.

      The beach, the secluded area, hurry, I need you now, Kevin said. Brizee hung up and got up.

      Whats up, Nick said.

      Theresa wants me to meet her, she needs to talk to me about something, Brizee said as she got dressed.

      Hurry back, Nick said.  Brizee gave him a long kiss.

      I will, baby, Brizee said. She left and went to the beach.  She walked to the secluded spot and found Kevin there, waiting.

      Kevin, Brizee said.  He pulled her close and kissed her deeply. He pulled her to where no one could see them and they pulled each others clothes off and made love. Afterwards, Brizee sat up.

      Briz, Kevin said.

      Kevin, Nicks back, I asked him to marry me, we cant do this anymore, Brizee said. She got dressed.

      I cant stop, Briz, Kevin said.

      You have to, think about how much Theresa and Nick will be hurt, knowing that we are fucking behind their backs, I cant do this anymore, I love Nick, hes my life, Theresa is your wife, Kev, do you really want to hurt her, Brizee said.

      Youre right, we have to stop this, I cant lose her, can we do it one more time, Kevin said. Brizee nodded and pulled her clothes off and laid down and they made love one last time. They got up and got dressed.

      You were right, this was the wrong thing to do, you belong with Nick, I belong with Theresa, Kevin said.

      Thats right, Kevin, I wasnt thinking right and you werent thinking at all, you werent thinking of what this would do to Nick and Theresa! Brizee said.

Meanwhile.Nicks house..

Nick was playing his playstation when the phone rang. He paused the game and reached for the phone.

      Hello, Nick said.

      Nick, its Theresa, can I talk to Brizee? Theresa asked.

      Isnt she with you, she said she was going to meet you, didnt you call this morning, Nick said.

      No, I didnt, Theresa said.

      Somethings going on, why would she lie to me, Nick said.

      I dont know, Theresa said.

      Oh, Briz and I are engaged, Nick said.

      You asked her? Theresa said.

      No, she asked me, when I got back, Nick said.

      Congratulations, Nick! Theresa said.

      Thanks, T, I gotta go, Ill talk to her when she gets back, Nick said.

      Okay, have her call me, okay, Theresa said.

      Okay, bye, Nick said.

An hour later, Brizee came in and saw Nick and smiled.

      Hey, Brizee said.

      Call Theresa, she called an hour ago, Nick said.

      She did? Brizee said.

      Yeah, she was so kind to inform me that she didnt call you earlier to have you meet her somewhere, Nick said. Brizee knew she couldnt lie to him.

      Kevin was the one who called, he wanted to talk to me about having babies with Theresa, he needed advice, Brizee said.

      Why do I get the feeling that you are lying to me, Nick said.

      Im not lying, Nick, Brizee said.

      Yes, you are, Nick said.

      I need to take a shower, Brizee said. She headed to the stairs but Nick grabbed her and turned her to face him.

      What is going on! Nick said angrily.

      I want to take a shower, Nickolas, I suggest you let me before I do something Ill regret, Im pregnant, hormonal and I have fists, any questions, Brizee said. Nick let her go and she went upstairs. She sat down on the bed and stared at her ring. She knew he would leave her once he knew about what she did.  She rubbed her tummy and made a silent promise to not tell Nick anything about what happened between her and Kevin. She prayed Kevin didnt tell anyone either.
