The next day, Brizee woke up and looked around and got up and slowly walked out of the bedroom and saw the cabin empty. She saw a note. She opened it.

      Dear Briz, I went back home to break up with Willa, Ill be back soon, and then we can talk, rest, girl, you need it, see you, Nicky 

Brizee smiled and laid down on the couch and saw Nicks cell phone. She picked it up and she dialed Kevins number.

      Hello, Kevin said.

      Hi Kev! Brizee said.

      Hey girl, whats up, where are you, Kevin said.

      Nick brought me up to your cabin, Brizee said.

      Thats good, you can rest good there, he called and asked me if he could take you up there and I agreed, knowing that you can rest up there, I just saw Nicks car at his house when I drove by on my way to the store, Kevin said.

      Yeah, he left a note saying that he went back to break up with Willa, he said hell be back, Brizee said.

      Yeah, he said he was breaking up with her, she is a bitch, Kevin said.

      I know, hows Theresa? Brizee said.

      Shes doing fine, Kevin said.

      Good, well, Im tired so Im going to rest, okay, Brizee said.

      Okay, bye Briz, Kevin said.

      Bye, Kev, Brizee said. She hung up and closed her eyes. She heard a noise and looked and saw a girl standing there.

      Uh, can I help you? Brizee asked.

      Are you Brizee? she asked.

      Yeah, Brizee said.

      Im Tiffany, Im a friend of Nicks, she said.

      Uh hi, um, Nicks not here right now, he should be back soon, Brizee said trying to sit up but Tiffany pushed her back down gently.

      No no, dont get up, Nick said you were in a car accident and you need to rest so that is what you should do, just lay there and rest, Tiffany said.

      Thanks, Brizee said.

      How long have you known Nick? Tiffany asked.

      Nineteen years, Brizee said.

      How long have you two been best friends? Tiffany asked.

      The same, Brizee said.

      You look like someone I know, do you have any brothers? Tiffany asked.

      Im an only child, Brizee said.

      I met Brian and the guys and you look like you are related to Brian, Tiffany said.

      Really? Brizee said.

      Yeah, Tiffany said.

      I never met my father so Ill talk to my mother, Brizee said.

      Do you have a boyfriend? Tiffany asked.

      No, if I get serious with a guy, Nick scares them off because he thinks theyll hurt me, Brizee said.

      Maybe hes looking out for you and being a good friend, Tiffany said.

      Lets see, Brian and I were going to start something and Nick scared him off, now hes engaged to one of my best friends, Brizee said.

            Maybe he likes you, Tiffany said. Brizee shrugged.

Two weeks later, Brizee was all better and backstage at the Orlando Arena. The guys were putting on a concert for charity. All the money from the ticket sales goes to their charities.

      Nick, wait up, Brizee called to him.

      Hey Briz, whats up, Nick said.

      I want to sing a song, a duet, Ill sing with Brian, he said he would, Brizee said.

      Are you sure you want to sing with Brian, I mean, you two use to be together, Nick said.

      I know, but its a good song, its sung by Travis Tritt and Lari White, its called Helping Me Get Over You, Britt likes the song and she said it will say a lot for me and Brian, that we have moved on, only Brian was the only one who moved on to someone else, when Im alone, Brizee said.

      Okay, Nick said. Brizee hugged him.

      You are the bestest friend I could have, Brizee said.

      I know, you are that to me, Briz, Nick said hugging her tight.  Brizee kissed his cheek and ran to get ready. Nick sighed and turned and saw Kevin.

      Are you going to tell her, Nick, that you love her and want to be with her? Kevin asked.

      After the show, Nick said.

      T and I are going to go introduce them, Kevin said. He and Theresa went onstage and the light shown on them. He waved.

      Hello everyone! Welcome! We have a great show tonight, but first, Brian will be singing a duet with Brizee, she is Nicks best friend as well as ours, Brizee and Nick have known each other and been best friends for nineteen years, Brian and Brizee will be singing Helping Me Get Over You, sung by Travis Tritt and Lari White, the reason, because Brian and Brizee were together before him and Brittany and they broke up and they are getting over each other, Brian is engaged to Brittany, Brizee is still trying to find the right guy, so here they are everyone, Kevin said. Brian and Brizee came onstage as Kevin and Theresa go offstage. The music started up and they sang the song. Afterwards, they hugged and headed offstage. Nick stopped Brizee.

      Briz, you were great, can you sing more songs? Nick asked.

      I guess, Brizee said. Nick smiled and went onstage pulling Brizee behind him.

      Hello, everyone, I have asked Brizee to sing some more songs, the guys and I wrote these songs for her, with permission from the real songwriters of these songs, so she is going to sing them, Nick said. He hugged her and went offstage. Brizee performed Overprotected, Im Not A Girl Not Yet A Woman, Born To Make You Happy, Baby One More Time,  (You Drive Me) Crazy, Sometimes, Oops I Did It Again, and Stronger. After she was done, she went backstage and Nick hugged her.

      You were great, Briz, Nick said.

      Thanks, Nicky, Brizee said. She went on and found Theresa and Brittany.

      Hey, Brizee said.

      Hey, girl, you were great out there, especially that duet with Brian, Theresa said.

      Thanks, Brizee said. She looked at Brittany.

      Britt, Theresa said.

      You were his first true love, Brizee, how can I compete with that, Brittany said.

      Britt, he loves you, okay, what Brian and I had is in the past, it wont happen again, we are just friends, thats all, Brizee said.

      I dont know why I feel so insecure, Brittany said.

      Britt, Im not going to steal Brian away, okay, Brizee said.

      I know you wont, because Brian told me the real reason you two broke up, Nick scared him off, Brittany said. Brizee laughed

      I cant get serious with a guy because of Nick, Brizee said.

      Maybe because he wants you for himself, Theresa said.

      I dont feel that way for him, Brizee said.

      You dont, girl, are you crazy, hes hot, sexy, gorgeous, and you dont feel anything for him, Theresa said. Brizee nodded.

      Maybe because I know him too well, Brizee said.

After the show, the guys went to shower. The girls talked. Nick came out dressed.

      Briz, can we talk? Nick asked.

      Sure, Brizee said. They went to his dressing room. He closed the door and she sat down. He sat down beside her.

      Briz, were best friends, right, Nick said.

      Yup, Brizee said.

      Lately, I have been feeling different, I think I have fallen for you, Briz, Nick said.

      You have? Brizee asked.

      Yeah, I want to be with you, Briz, you are the one for me, Nick said.  Brizee got up and walked around.

      I cant, Nick, Brizee said.

      You cant what, be with me, Nick said.

      Im sorry, Nick, I dont feel the same way, Brizee said. Nick got up and headed for the door.

      Fine, I poured my heart out for nothing, Nick said.

      Nick, Im sorry, I just dont feel that way, Brizee said. He looked at her.

      I heard you the first time, Nick said. He walked out the door. She sat down and stared at the floor.
